Literacy should be the goal of all citizens in the United States. Over the past six years, Gretna Public Schools have been closely following research, enhancing curiculum, adding staff, and creating a program for every child. The focus on reading continues. In the fall of 2007, Gretna will have three K-5 elementary schools. library collections are currently being created; however, we need your help. Students typically check out 40 books per year. The average cost of a library book is $14.95. You can make a difference in shaping the minds of future citizens, employees and customers.

"Contributors to Our Growth" Donation Levels Are:
  • Platinum Dragons: $5,000 or more
  • Gold Dragons: $2,500 - 4,999
  • Silver Dragons: $1,000 - 2,499
  • Bronze Dragons: $500 - 999
