On December 11, 2017, the Gretna Public Schools Board of Education called for a Citizens Building and Construction Advisory Committee.  The first meeting of the committee will be held Thursday, January 18, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. in the Board Room of the Administration Office located at 11717 S. 216th Street in Gretna.  Discussion at this first meeting of the committee will focus on enrollment trends, housing developments, and housing starts in the Gretna school district.  Future meetings will focus on construction options, financial options, and committee recommendations.  Ultimately, the advisory committee will present their recommendations to the School Board next spring.  All interested parents and community members are invited to attend.
